Dosage Form and Strength
Zavicefta (Ceftazidime 2gm and Avibactam 0.5gm) Injection is a sterile powder for concentrate for solution for infusion.
Each vial contains Ceftazidime pentahydrate equivalent to Ceftazidime 2gm and Avibactam sodium equivalent to Avibactam 0.5gm.

Mechanism of Action
It inhibits bacterial peptidoglycan cell wall synthesis following attachment to penicillin binding proteins (PBPs), which leads to bacterial cell lysis and death.

• Administer Intravenously.
• Single use vial.
• Dilute before use.

Therapeutic Use

• Treatment of severe bacterial infections of lungs, stomach, and urinary tract.
