Dosage Form and Strength
Urotone 25mg (Bethanechol) Tablet is an uncoated tablet.
Each uncoated tablet contains Bethanechol Chloride, USP 25mg.
Mechanism of Action
It is a muscarinic agonist. It works by making the contraction of the urinary bladder muscle sufficiently strong to initiate urination and empty the bladder.
Administration
- To be taken orally.
- Do not self-medicate.
Therapeutic Use
- Treatment of acute urinary retention after surgery.
- Various diseases of urinary bladder.
- Congenital megacolon.
- Gastroesophageal reflux disease.
- Childbirth-related urinary retention.
Usage Instructions
- Oral use only.
- Swallow as a whole.
- Take on an empty stomach or at least one hour before meals.
- Do not self-medicate.
- Follow physician’s dosage instructions.
- Keep out of reach of children.
