Dosage Form and Strength
Torsirin 100mg/5ml (Irinotecan) Injection is in Injection form.
Each ml contains Irinotecan Hydrochloride (as Trihydrate) IP 20mg.
Mechanism of Action
It is an anticancer medication that works by blocking the actions of certain enzymes (DNA-Topoisomerase-1) within cells, which are required for cell growth and multiplication. This prevents abnormal cell division and slows down the growth and spread of cancer cells.
Administration
- Intravenous infusion after dilution.
- Sterile single-use vial.
