Floricot Tablet

Dosage Form and Strength:

Uncoated tablet. Each uncoated tablet contains Fludrocortisone Acetate IP 100mcg.

Mechanism of Action:

Steroid that decreases sodium excretion in urine and increases sodium reabsorption while promoting potassium excretion in the distal tubules of the kidney.

Administration:

Oral use only. Do not self-medicate.

Therapeutic Use:

Treatment of Addison’s disease and correction of electrolyte imbalances associated with Addison’s disease.

Usage Instruction:

Take orally with food. Swallow whole. Follow physician’s dosage. Keep out of reach of children.

Side Effects:

• Stomach upset, Mood changes, Weight gain
• High blood pressure
• Oral thrush (fungal infection), Thinning of skin
• Altered blood sugar level, Rash
