Aprecap 150mg Injection

Dosage form and Strength:

Lyophilized Injection.
Each vial contains Fosaprepitant Dimeglumine equivalent to Fosaprepitant 150mg.

Mechanism of Action:

NK1 antagonist; blocks signals from NK1 (Neurokinin) receptors.
Inhibits acute and delayed emesis induced by cytotoxic chemotherapy.
Blocks nerve signal transmission between vomiting centres and brain.

Administration:

Intravenous injection one hour before chemotherapy.
Single dose vial.
Discard unused portion.
Do not self-medicate; use under medical supervision only.

Therapeutic Use:

Anti-emetic; prevents chemotherapy- and postoperative-induced nausea and vomiting in adults.

Usage Instruction:

For intravenous infusion only after reconstitution and dilution.

Side Effects:

Headache, Hiccups, Loss of appetite, Constipation, Fatigue, Increased liver enzyme, Tiredness, Indigestion, Diarrhoea, Dizziness.
