Product Description

Dosage form and Strength of Adakveo (Crizanlizumab-tmca) Injection:
It is in Injection form.
It is a clear to opalescent, colorless to slightly brownish-yellow solution in a single dose vial.
Each vial contains 100mg/ml (10 mg/ml) of Crizanlizumab-tmca.

Mechanism Of Action of Adakveo (Crizanlizumab-tmca) Injection:
It is a humanized IgG2 kappa monoclonal antibody that binds to P-selectin and blocks interactions with its ligands, including P-selectin glycoprotein ligand 1 (PSGL-1). Crizanlizumab can also dissociate preformed P-selectin /PSGL-1 complex. Binding P-selectin on the surface of the activated endothelium and platelets blocks interactions between endothelial cells, platelets, red blood cells, and leukocytes.

Administration of Adakveo (Crizanlizumab-tmca) Injection:
Administer 5 mg/kg of the drug after dilution by intravenous infusion over a period of 30 minutes on Week 0, Week 2, and every 4 weeks thereafter.
It should be prepared and administered by a healthcare professional.
For Intravenous Infusion after dilution.
Single dose vial.
Discard unused portion.

Therapeutic Use of Adakveo (Crizanlizumab-tmca) Injection:
It is used to reduce the frequency of vaso-occlusive crises in adults and paediatric patients aged 16 years and older with sickle cell disease.

Do not self-medicate.
Your doctor may adjust your dose depending as per the need.

Back pain, Nausea, Fever, Abdominal pain, Joint pain, Allergic reactions (rashes, itching, redness), Headache, Vomiting, Dizziness, Sweating, Shortness of breath.
