Dosage form and Strength of Icikinase 1.5MIU Injection (Streptokinase 1500000IU):

It is in Injection form. Each Lyophilized Injection contains Streptokinase I.P. 1500000IU.

Mechanism Of Action:

Streptokinase belongs to a group of medications known as fibrinolytics. It is naturally produced and secreted by various strains of haemolytic streptococci. It creates an active complex which promotes the cleavage of the plasminogen to form plasmin. Plasmin in turn degrade fibrin and exert thrombolytic action. It breaks up and dissolves blood clots that can block arteries.

Administration:

The recommended dose is Single Maximum Dose of 1500000IU Parenteral Injection. For I.V. use only. Do not self-medicate. Your doctor may adjust your dose depending upon the need.

Therapeutic Use:

It is used in the treatment of Heart Attack, Pulmonary Embolism, and Deep Vein Thrombosis. It helps manage blood clots affecting the blood vessels of the heart, lungs, etc.

Usage Instruction:

The solution should be used within 24 hours following reconstitution. Unused reconstituted drug should be discarded. Do not self-medicate. Use it under medical supervision only.
